Day to Day
The Head of Sales & Managing Director, France leads one of Indeed’s largest and most strategically important international businesses, with end-to-end responsibility for commercial performance, market strategy, and organizational leadership across France. Reporting to the Vice President, EMEA & APAC, this is a highly visible executive leadership role responsible for driving the continued development of a business approaching $200M in annual revenue, while shaping the long-term commercial strategy for the France market. This leader oversees a large, established organization of approximately 110 employees across France and Ireland, with three Senior Sales Directors reporting directly.
In this role, the leader balances strategic thinking with operational excellence, acting as a commercial leader, business operator, and people leader. As a member of the broader EMEA leadership team, you will serve as a credible and influential partner to senior internal partners and external customers. You will shape market strategy and organizational capability, and work closely with leaders across Product, Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Client Success, and Operations to improve customer outcomes and improve Indeed’s position in France. Success requires building an inclusive, high-performing organization capable of supporting long-term growth at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the commercial performance, long-term growth strategy, and overall business leadership for Indeed’s France market.
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth across a business approaching $200M in annual revenue, balancing near-term execution with long-term market expansion and investment decisions.
- Define and execute France go-to-market strategies in partnership with regional and global teams, while representing the voice and priorities of the France market across Indeed.
- As Indeed continues to evolve its products and operating model through AI, play a critical role in translating AI-enabled capabilities into clear and compelling customer value.
- Develop strategic partnerships with major employers, staffing firms, agency partners, and C-suite customer partners, positioning Indeed as a key partner within the French recruitment ecosystem.
- Mentor, coach, and develop Senior Sales Directors and increase the broader leadership pipeline across the distributed France and Ireland organization.
- Improve business performance through data-informed decision-making, disciplined execution, accurate forecasting, effective resource allocation, and continuous process improvement.
- Identify market trends and competitive opportunities, and collaborate with key regional and global functions to translate insights into commercial action and stronger customer outcomes.
Skills/Competencies
- Requires a minimum of 17 years of related experience; or a minimum of 15 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with a minimum of 8 years experience.
- Fluency in both French and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to represent the business credibly in external markets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, geographically distributed sales organizations through growth, transformation, and multiple layers of management.
- Proven commercial and strategic acumen, with experience owning significant business performance and translating market insights into effective market-level and go-to-market strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate AI-enabled capabilities into relevant and effective customer propositions.
- Executive presence and credibility, with the ability to influence senior internal and external partners, including C-suite leaders, and represent the business effectively in the market.
- Proven success in coaching and developing senior leaders, building succession pipelines, and fostering an inclusive culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
- Demonstrated business management capabilities, with experience using data to inform forecasting, resource allocation, execution, and performance at scale.
- Ability to work effectively across a broad range of cross-functional teams, aligning diverse partners around shared customer and business outcomes.
Salary Range Transparency
Tier 2 - Ireland 144,000 - 216,000 EUR per year
The OTE (On-Target Earning) - including quarterly bonuses - is 254,000 - 326,000 EUR per year
