Full job description

Dublin Central Mission, Mount Tabor Nursing Home, Sandymount, Dublin 4 is currently recruiting for a Permanent Full Time Healthcare Assistant.

Candidates must be in possession of full authorisation to work in Ireland, must be in possession of full QQI Level 5 in Healthcare qualifications and have experience working in a nursing home and / or a hospital. Candidates that do not meet these criteria will not be considered. Candidates must also be fully flexible to work all shifts allocated to them.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF A STAMP 4 OR STAMP 1G.

About the Job:

Working under the direction of the Director of Care, the Healthcare Assistant will provide appropriate personal care and other support as required.

Qualifications

Healthcare QQI Level 5 or a comparable relevant qualification of at least QQI Level 5.
Knowledge and experience of working in the elder care sector (Desirable).
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Be accountable for the provision of high quality, effective care.
Provide holistic care to all residents
Attend to resident needs at all times
Possess a focus on quality of service and approach every resident with dignity and respect
Ensure to create good interpersonal relations with residents and their famililies
To comply with all policies and procedures of Dublin Central Mission.
Be familiar with regulatory bodies and the role they play in governing nursing homes/ sheltered housing.
Demonstrate full competence in duties being undertaken
Report any matters of concern to your immediate manager particularly relating to residents in distress
Create good working relations with residents and their families
Communicate with the wider team in affective mannger
Work to the highest standards as outlined in teh company procedures
Be flexible and be able to work between sites and work different shifts
Maintain a professional appearance and dress code
Represent he company in a Professional Manner
Attend all training as allocated by the company
Maintain Professional Appearance at all times
Comply with all Policies and Procedures
