Position: Payroll Analyst

Location: Dublin, Ireland - Hybrid

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our HR team as part of our financial services business in Dublin.

As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2006. As part of our Dublin team you will be performing the below key duties:

Key Duties:

The Payroll Analyst is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll (semi-monthly/monthly), ensuring accuracy across earnings, deductions, and adjustments
Manage off-cycle payments, terminations, and payroll corrections
Ensure compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements
Review and reconcile payroll reports (gross-to-net) and meet all payroll deadlines

Analysis & Reporting

Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies and trends
Prepare reports for Finance, HR, and Management
Support internal and external audits

Systems & Compliance

Maintain payroll data in HRIS (Workday experience an advantage)
Support system updates, testing, and issue resolution
Ensure adherence to tax, employment laws, and internal controls, including year-end processing

Stakeholder Support

Ensure that any queries/requests related to Payroll will be addressed in a professional and timely manner. Resolve payroll related queries, issues, and disputes.
Advise HR and managers on payroll policies and procedures

Requirements

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, HR or related fields (or equivalent experience).
2 - 4 years of payroll experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Proficiency in Excel and payroll/HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, SAP, Dayforce, etc.)
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience in managing payroll for multiple countries preferably Ireland, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Netherlands.
