About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regionPermanent Chief Medical Scientistal and national levels. Our academic partner is Trinity College Dublin.

Purpose of the role: The role of the Chief Medical Scientist in Haematology Laboratory is to be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of Haematology laboratory services assigned in the SJH Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology (LabMed Directorate). To provide support for the development of services embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of change necessary to achieve organisational objectives. To be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of Haematology laboratory services assigned in the SJH Centre for Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology (LabMed Directorate).
