Early Years Educator – Job Description

Location: Ark Childcare
Hours: As per contract and rota

Ark Childcare is looking for a passionate and caring Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, supporting children's learning and development in line with Aistear, Síolta, Tusla Regulations, and Ark Childcare's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
Support children's daily care routines, including meals, sleep, toileting, and outdoor play.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with families.
Follow all Ark Childcare policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or DCEDIY-recognised equivalent).
Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, Tusla Early Years Regulations, and Children First.
Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
Garda Vetting and satisfactory references are required.
