Full job description

At MyLife Insurance, we believe financial advice should be simple, transparent and accessible. Our mission is to help people make better financial decisions through education, technology and exceptional customer experiences.

We're offering a structured 6-month graduate internship designed to provide real commercial experience and accelerate your career. This isn't a traditional internship where you'll spend your time on routine administrative tasks. Instead, you'll work closely with our Managing Director to help build and grow our marketing function, gaining hands-on experience across content marketing, social media, website optimisation, customer experience, analytics and the latest AI-powered marketing tools.

On your first week, you'll contribute to projects that have a genuine impact on the business. You'll learn this by doing, taking ownership of meaningful work and develop the practical skills, commercial mindset and confidence needed to become an outstanding modern marketer.

What You'll Be Working On

Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll help build and grow a modern, AI-enabled marketing function. We'll provide the marketing strategy and financial expertise, and you'll help bring it to life through exceptional execution.

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other digital platforms that educates, informs and builds trust.
Using AI tools to research, improve workflows, generate ideas and create high-quality marketing content more efficiently.
Supporting the creation of articles, customer guides, email campaigns and other educational marketing materials.
Assisting with the planning, filming and editing of digital content for use across our website and social media channels.
Helping grow our organic digital presence through content planning, scheduling and community engagement.
Supporting the ongoing development of our website, landing pages and digital customer journey to improve the customer experience.
Helping optimise our content for SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
Monitoring website and content performance, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and conversions.
Researching new AI tools, digital marketing trends and emerging technologies, and sharing ideas that could improve how we market our business.
Supporting CRM, marketing systems and general marketing operations while maintaining GDPR compliance.
Taking ownership of projects, learning by doing and continually developing your skills as a modern digital marketer.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and potential. You don't need experience in financial services, we'll teach you the industry. More important is your curiosity, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for building a career in modern digital marketing.

We particularly value initiative. If you've built a personal website, grown a social media account, created content, written a blog, launched a newsletter, experimented with AI tools, or simply enjoy learning and testing new marketing ideas in your own time, we'd love to hear about it. We're more interested in curiosity, creativity and evidence that you enjoy practising your craft.

Ideally, you'll have:

A recent degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
A genuine passion for digital marketing and a desire to continually learn and improve.
A naturally curious mindset and an interest in understanding what makes great marketing effective.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and adapt your style for different audiences.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership, ask questions and learn by doing.
A solid understanding of digital marketing fundamentals gained through university, internships, personal projects or self-directed learning.
An interest in how AI is changing marketing, and an eagerness to learn how to use new tools effectively.
An analytical mindset with the ability to learn from data, measure results and continually improve your work.

Exposure to a broad range of modern digital marketing disciplines, including content marketing, social media, website optimisation, SEO/GEO/AEO, analytics, customer experience and AI-enabled marketing.

The opportunity to learn about personal finance and investments as you’ll be helping develop content and marketing around these topics.
