Bar Manager – Walker 1781
Walker 1781 is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bar Manager to lead our bar team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the bar. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, leading the team, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the bar.
- Open and close the premises in line with company procedures.
- Lead, motivate and support the bar team during service.
- Prepare staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Complete all daily paperwork, cashing up, and reporting accurately.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and carry out regular stocktakes.
- Ensure the bar is clean, organised, and presented to a high standard at all times.
- Maintain all food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and deal with customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Train new team members and encourage a positive working environment.
- Work closely with management and the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Take responsibility for the security of the premises when opening and closing.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a busy bar or hospitality environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- A positive, professional attitude with the ability to lead by example.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work well under pressure.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Comfortable completing paperwork, stock control, and cash handling.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
