Steam ESCO Ltd. works with manufacturing organisations to reduce energy use and carbon emissions through innovative steam system solutions. We are now hiring for a Steam & Energy Systems Technician with a strong maintenance background to join our growing team in Wexford.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in industrial maintenance, utilities, boiler operations, mechanical fitting, or plant support, and wants to expand into energy optimisation and steam systems. You’ll work across Pharma, Food Production, Chemical and other high‑performance industries, gaining both onsite experience and involvement in technical energy projects.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and optimise steam and energy systems
- Carry out onsite surveys, equipment checks, and system assessments
- Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of steam‑related equipment
- Apply practical thermodynamic principles and data analysis to improve system performance
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver safe, effective project outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Technical qualification (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or similar)
- 2–5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, utilities, boiler house operations, or plant support
- Hands‑on understanding of steam, heat, boilers, or process equipment (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong troubleshooting ability and practical problem‑solving mindset
- Good communicator and dependable team player
- Willingness to travel (Ireland & internationally)
- Full EU driving licence
