General Operative
Diamant Linen is one of the leading providers of linen rental in Munster. We strive to provide 'EXCELLENCE IN LINEN MANAGEMENT' to all customers.
Due to continued business growth, we are hiring for multiple positions at our busy industrial laundry in Farranfore, Co. Kerry. These positions will be for General Operatives. No experience is needed as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Linen Processing: Involvement in the sorting, washing, drying, and folding of bed and bath linens according to company quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished linens for stains or damage, ensuring only the highest quality products are prepared for dispatch.
- Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate industrial laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, and irons.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including manual handling procedures and the use of PPE.
- Stock Management: Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and maintain an organised workspace.
· This is a physically demanding role which includes manual handling and some repetitive manual tasks.
Requirements
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
· A willingness to learn new skills and operate different machinery as needed.
· Adhere to work instructions, company policies, and the Employee Handbook at all times.
· Maintain a high standard of work with excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be punctual with a "can-do" attitude.
· A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
· Some Sunday work and overtime may be required.
· Previous experience in a laundry, factory, or warehouse setting is an advantage, though full training will be provided.
Pay: €14.15 per hour
