Early Years Educator – Job Description
Location: Ark Childcare
Hours: As per contract and rota
Ark Childcare is looking for a passionate and caring Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, supporting children's learning and development in line with Aistear, Síolta, Tusla Regulations, and Ark Childcare's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
- Support children's daily care routines, including meals, sleep, toileting, and outdoor play.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with families.
- Follow all Ark Childcare policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or DCEDIY-recognised equivalent).
- Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, Tusla Early Years Regulations, and Children First.
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Garda Vetting and satisfactory references are required.

Pay: From €16.50 per hour
