The Abbey Hotel Roscommon is looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Event Co-ordinator for a stunning venue located in Roscommon Town
As Events Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events across the venue. This includes private functions, corporate events, and seasonal conferences. You will ensure each event is delivered to the highest standard, exceeding guest expectations while upholding the venue's reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate is highly organised, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering memorable experiences.
The Duties:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of events from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure all details are executed flawlessly.
- Liaise with internal departments including kitchen, front of house, and operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings as required.
- Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are met.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
The Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Event & Conferencing role within a hotel or event venue.
- Proven track record of delivering successful events across different formats and sizes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €36,000.00 per year
