About CRI Solutions: CRI Solutions provides professional financial management, accounting, reporting, compliance and outsourced finance support to businesses and private clients. This role will sit within the Finance team, supporting the firm’s non-family-office client base.The successful candidate will work as part of a growing team delivering high-quality accounting, tax, compliance and outsourced finance support to Irish businesses and owner-managed companies.
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified accountant with approximately two years’ post-qualification experience to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with clients, preparing accounts, managing compliance deadlines and helping businesses improve their financial reporting and internal finance team.The role would suit a technically strong accountant who is comfortable working across multiple clients, has good attention to detail, and is confident communicating with business owners and internal team members.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing annual financial statements for companies, sole traders and other business clients.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting tax filings.
- Reviewing bookkeeping records, management accounts and VAT returns.
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly management reporting for clients.
- Supporting outsourced finance function services, including reporting packs, reconciliations and debtor/creditor reviews.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and explain accounting matters clearly.
- Assisting with CRO, Revenue and other compliance deadlines.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members where required.
- Identifying areas where clients can improve their accounting systems, controls or reporting processes.
- Supporting ad hoc client projects, including finance process improvements, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
- Working collaboratively with the wider CRI Solutions team to deliver a professional and responsive service.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Approximately 2 years’ post-qualified experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting and tax compliance.
- Experience preparing financial statements and corporation tax returns.
- Good working knowledge of VAT, payroll and general business compliance matters.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients.
- A practical, commercial mindset and ability to understand the needs of owner-managed businesses.
- A team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently when required.
Desirable Experience
The following would be an advantage but is not essential:
- Experience in practice or outsourced accounting services.
- Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Surf Accounts or similar systems.
- Experience preparing management accounts and reporting packs.
- Exposure to advisory work, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting or finance function improvement.
- Experience supervising or reviewing junior staff work.
