We have an exciting opportunity in the Finance Department within our Corporate Services Directorate.
The Corporate Services Directorate is responsible for the overall governance of the Authority and includes Finance, Inspections, Governance and Procurement, Legal, Marketing and Communications, HR & OD and ICT.
The Finance Department plays a key role in the organisation by tracking performance and enabling organisation decision making at senior management level. We develop and track progress against business plans and engage and inform a range of key internal and external stakeholders on all key issues facing SEAI.
The Finance Department promote, inform, and implement process and operational improvements that aim to create a more efficient and effective organisation. The Department are responsible for the effective use of SEAI's budget and track, analyse and challenge all areas of the business to ensure high quality outcomes.
We also regularly support all departments in developing and implementing key projects and initiatives which support Ireland's sustainable energy transition.
As FP&A Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that high quality financial information is available at management and Board level. The role will be key in adding value to the Finance Department and the wider organisation and will enable and influence effective decision making at a senior management level.
Reporting to the Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Finance Business Partner - Programme Manager, the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI's goals.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

A degree (a Level 7 on NFQ or greater) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- Fully qualified accountant with membership of a prescribed accountancy body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
- A minimum of five years directly relevant post qualification experience.

Experience working as part of a Finance function including:

Management reporting and presenting financial information at Management and Committee levels.

Experience in delivering programmes analysis.

Experience in data visualisation and communicating key outputs.

Managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience with Data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI/ Tableau).

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Previous experience of Integra / Centros Financial System.

Previous experience working in a public body or a knowledge of public sector accounting.
- Experience of change management.

Interest in or knowledge of the sustainable energy sector.

Excellent team-player skills and flexibility.

Proven attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in the Irish Language.

Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and where applicable to support a candidate's application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.
