We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team in the Leinster & Muster Regions.
Objective
The role of the Site Manager is to ensure efficient running of a building site, to provide a safe working environment, and adhere to workplace Health and Safety requirements, while maximising productivity to the highest possible quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to the Project Manager to perform all duties as agreed
- Front-line management of all sites-based day to day matters
- Complete daily site diary.
- Ensuring compliance and completion of all company procedures and all contractual commitments are achieved
- Workplace Health and Safety Management and implementation (Safety Manuals).
- Obtain daily site report, Order Book, Request Information Requests (PIR’s) External Charge book, Transmittal book and Non-Conformance book.
- Check and peruse Council connections for water, sewer and storm water.
- Contact Authorities for connections of all temporary services, e.g., electricity, telephone.
- Review the documents for any necessary testing and inspections required i.e., frequency of concrete testing, bearing capacity for foundation material etc.
- Review the set-out of the project and ascertain with the supervisor the set-out requirements for the project.
- Control of all operations in the field including the allocation and management of all employees, materials, plant and equipment.
- Ensure the work zones are kept clean and Tidy by all subcontractors and issue notices if not.
- Ensure all areas are well lit for safety and quality reasons.
- Attend and present at the daily white board meetings.
- Communicate daily with file personnel and subcontractor’s representatives as required
- Co-ordinate all trades and give sufficient notice when they will be required and with what resources to meet the required timeframes.
- Ensure each sub-contractor has a current program.
- Ensure sufficient resources are being allocated by the subcontractor to ensure programme compliance.
- Undertake all necessary inspections to achieve high quality work during construction in accordance with any Inspection and Test Plants (ITP’s)
- Comply with all instructions issued by the Contracts/Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with the use of Procore and other I.T systems within the company.
- Be familiar with all Safe Operating Procedures.

Background/Experience:
- 4-5 years experience in a medium/large building contractor.
- Degree in construction management or similar preferred.
