Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland, we are hiring an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join our pre-construction team, based from our Limerick office.

The Role
As a Civil Engineering Estimator with Wills Bros, you will support the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially robust tender submissions for civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, pricing schedules and cost plans for civil engineering projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and tender documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
- Obtain, assess and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, exclusions and value engineering options during the tender process.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams as required.
- Support the preparation of commercial clarifications, tender queries and bid documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, assumptions and tender documentation.
- Work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, operations and business development teams.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately, competitively and within required tender timelines.
About You
We are interested in hearing from Civil Engineering Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Civil Engineers or commercially focused construction professionals who possess:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Must have 3–5 years' estimating experience within construction or civil engineering.
- Experience working with a main contractor is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering, infrastructure, heavy civils and public works projects.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, tender documentation and bills of quantities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams.
- A practical, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
