Job Purpose
CSL is a leading supplier of electrical and mechanical services to the Water, Pharma and Food industries. Due to increase demand for our services, we are now recruiting for a Service & Maintenance Scheduler, responsible for the effective coordination and scheduling of service and maintenance activities within the water industry. This role ensures that mechanical and electrical personnel are efficiently deployed, client requirements are met, and reactive and planned works are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign planned and reactive service and maintenance works to mechanical and electrical personnel.
- Act as the first point of contact for client service requests, including receiving and logging reactive callouts.
- Prioritise reactive and emergency works in line with contractual obligations and operational requirements.
- Liaise with clients to confirm attendance dates and times, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
- Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules, taking account of resource availability, site access, and travel requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records, job logs, and scheduling information using company systems.
- Communicate effectively with field-based teams to ensure they are fully briefed on job requirements and site details.
- Monitor progress of works and adjust schedules as required to respond to changing priorities.
- Support the Service Manager with reporting, workload planning, and general administrative duties within the department.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with company procedures, health & safety requirements, and client standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, particularly when dealing with reactive or emergency callouts.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Competent IT skills, including experience with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with both office-based and site-based personnel.
Experience & Knowledge
- Previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, or administrative role within service, maintenance, utilities, or a similar technical environment is desirable.
- Experience within the water industry or working with mechanical and electrical teams is an advantage.
- Understanding of reactive maintenance and service delivery environments is beneficial.
