The Role:
The Security team is responsible for the coordination of building and asset physical security and access control systems across the organisation.
Reporting to the Security Systems Lead, the Access Control Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of access control systems. The role combines operational management, data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and access control project delivery support to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant access management across Uisce Éireann.
The successful candidate will support system performance reporting, maintain accurate records, develop and manage documentation, and work closely with internal teams and external providers to monitor and manage access across the organisation. The role will also contribute to the planning and execution of access control projects, supporting successful implementation across sites.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain system data, records, and stock levels to support effective operational control
Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring

Support the delivery of access control projects, including system rollouts, upgrades, and site implementations
Assist in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and escalating risks or issues as required
Participate in on-site rollout clinics, supporting users and ensuring successful implementation
Analyse system data and performance trends, producing reports and operational metrics to support decision-making
Maintain data accuracy through validation, monitoring, and regular review
Provide system support, including issue resolution, data cleansing, and ongoing maintenance
Identify risks, inefficiencies, and process gaps, contributing to continuous improvement and more efficient ways of working
Contribute to system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement activities
Develop, maintain, and review SOPs and process documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance
Ensure systems and processes align with audit, governance, and security requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role
Third-level qualification desirable
Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple
priorities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes
Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment with a focus on
accuracy and compliance
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Power BI and/or workflow automation tools (e.g. Power Automate)

Full clean driver’s licence with flexibility to travel as required
This is an office-based role in Cork City Centre.

Ability to drive a manual vehicle
Basic Security Authority License- Static, PSA license
Minimum 6 months driving experience within Ireland
English communication (Oral & Written) - Minimum B2
