Role Overview
The Packaging Artwork Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of packaging artwork for the business, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery across global markets. This in-house role supports the coordination and rollout of packaging design projects, working closely with our external design agency that leads brand creative development. The role acts as the operational link between internal stakeholders, regulatory requirements, and the agency to ensure all packaging artwork is correctly implemented, approved, and production-ready.
Key focus areas include artwork coordination, version control, project management, and ensuring seamless execution of packaging updates across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
Artwork Coordination and Execution
- Act as the key point of contact for all packaging artwork changes, ensuring all updates align with brand guidelines and are implemented accurately.
- Manage and track all artwork projects through the artwork management system, ensuring timely progression and proactive stakeholder engagement to maintain delivery pace.
- Deliver end-to-end execution of packaging artwork change requests, from initial brief through to final print-ready files, using the approved artwork management workflow.
Artwork Filing and Management
- Own the packaging artwork filing and version control system, ensuring all assets are accurately maintained, fully up to date, and easily accessible.
- Work closely with the technical team and external design agency to ensure correct file management, version integrity, and alignment across all artwork assets.
- Provide support to the sales team on packaging-related queries and ensure timely delivery of packaging assets in required formats.
- Collaborate with Product and Innovation Managers to conduct regular quality control reviews, ensuring print standards are consistently upheld across all manufacturers.
- Act as the key liaison with external print houses, ensuring all packaging output meets BFree quality standards, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements.
Sales Support
- Support requests for product mock-ups and renders for internal and external sales and innovation presentations.
- Develop and manage visual assets to support global retailer sell-in requirements, including sell sheets, pallet displays, and in-store shelf display materials.

Competencies for the Role
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and plan work effectively.
- Proactive collaborator, working closely with the lead design agency and internal/external stakeholders to resolve design and artwork challenges using sound design judgement.
- Strong attention to detail with expert understanding and consistent application of brand guidelines.
- Able to work independently, taking ownership of projects from brief through to completion.
