The Role
We are looking for friendly and hardworking Waiting Staff to join our team at The Galleon Restaurant. You will look after customers, take orders, serve food and drinks, and help keep the restaurant clean and tidy.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and show them to their tables
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Serve meals and drinks promptly
- Answer questions about the menu and daily specials
- Set up tables with cutlery and glassware before service
- Clear and clean tables after customers finish
- Keep the restaurant clean at all times – including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and tidying up
- Handle payments (cash and card)
- Work with kitchen and bar staff to keep service flowing
- Keep your section clean and tidy
- Help out with other tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Friendly and polite manner
- Good at working in a team
- Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Clean and tidy with good attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings (closed Wednesdays)
- Previous waiting experience is a plus but not essential – we will train the right person
