We are seeking a professional, reliable, and experienced C+E Driver to join our equine shipping agency. This role involves both national and international long-haul driving across Europe. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of horses, operating a modern, regularly maintained fleet.
The ideal candidate must balance strict adherence to road transport legislation with a high level of horsemanship and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Equine Care & Transport: Safely transport horses throughout the UK and mainland Europe. Oversee the professional loading and unloading of horses, ensuring their welfare, comfort, and safety at all times.
- Operational Efficiency: Complete planned deliveries and collections efficiently, navigating international routes, ferry crossings, and border protocols where required.
- Compliance: Strictly comply with all road transport legislation, including Driver CPC requirements, digital tachograph regulations, driver hours legislation. CoC in equine transport required although we can help obtain this.
- Vehicle & Bio-Security Maintenance: Maintain excellent vehicle cleanliness. Execute strict bio-security protocols (cleaning and disinfecting vehicles between jobs) to prevent the spread of equine diseases.
- Client Relations: Deliver a professional service and maintain clear, proactive communication with owners, trainers, stable staff, and the office team, representing the company to high operating standards.
Pay: From €40,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Box lorry: 2 years (preferred)
- Equine: 1 year (preferred)
