About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to lead the day-to-day delivery of our new Separated Children Seeking International Protection (SCSIP) Transport and Accompaniment Service.
This innovative national service provides safe, reliable and child-centred transport and accompaniment support, ensuring children and young people can access healthcare, education, legal appointments, social work meetings and other essential services.
Reporting to the Head of Services, the successful candidate will coordinate service delivery, supervise staff, oversee safeguarding and quality standards, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure the service operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in establishing a new national service supporting some of Ireland's most vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the SCSIP Service.
- Manage referrals, scheduling and staff deployment.
- Supervise and support staff assigned to the service.
- Ensure safeguarding, quality and risk management standards are maintained.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Tusla and other stakeholders.
- Monitor service activity, contractual KPIs and performance.
- Produce reports and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Social Care or an equivalent qualification recognised by CORU.
- CORU registered, or evidence of an application for registration.
- Minimum three years' experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Experience of safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience supervising, coordinating or supporting staff.
- Strong organisational, communication and relationship management skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
