Behind every Avoca experience is a team of people who care about quality, detail and doing things well. We are now looking for a Production Commis Chef - Mince Pie Production to join our team at Avoca Central Bakery & Kitchen in Bray.
Help craft one of Avoca's much-loved seasonal favourites.
The Role
As a Production Commis Chef, you will support the production of high-quality Avoca mince pies in line with our recipes, quality standards and production schedules.
You will work as part of a busy production team where accuracy, food safety, teamwork, and pride in the finished product matter every day.
What You'll Be Doing

Producing mince pies to Avoca recipes, specifications and quality standards

Preparing, weighing and portioning ingredients accurately

Operating production machinery safely as part of the mince pie production process

Assembling and finishing mince pies to the required presentation standard

Monitoring product quality throughout production

Working efficiently to support daily production targets

Cleaning and sanitising machinery, equipment, utensils and work areas after production

Following all food safety, HACCP, allergen, health and safety, and hygiene procedures

Completing production and cleaning records as required

Reporting equipment faults, quality concerns or safety issues to the supervisor

Working positively and effectively as part of the wider production team
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team, and understands the importance of quality and consistency in food production.

Ability to follow recipes, instructions and production standards accurately

Confidence working in a busy, hands-on production environment

Strong commitment to food safety, hygiene and safe ways of working

Good teamwork and communication skills
Previous food production, bakery, kitchen, or pastry experience is an advantage, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
