The Board of Liberties Training Centre invites applications for the position of:
Catering Instructor – Full Time Permanent contract (35 hours per week)
Applicants must possess:
· A recognised diploma or trade qualification in catering or similar
· At least one year’s relevant work experience in a similar field
· Experience of working with young people aged 16 – 21 years
· A learner-centred and flexible approach to training and meeting learner needs
· Good Information Technology skills
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Awareness of QQI 4 related modules and the National Framework of Qualifications
Applicants ideally should have experience of delivering QQI Level 4 training modules in the following subjects:
· Culinary Operations
· Short Order Cookery
· Handling Food Hygienically
· Breakfast Cookery
· Bread, Pastry & Desserts
· Dishwashing
· Communications
· Personal & Interpersonal Development
· Personal Effectiveness
· Information Technology
· Computer Literacy
Duties will include:
· Delivery of training in modules leading to a full QQI Level 4 Major Award
· Assessment and monitoring of learner course work in the relevant skills areas
· Assisting with the planning, development and implementation of CTC programmes, services and assessments within a Quality Assurance framework, and other duties as appropriate
· Provision of one-to-one support services to learners
· Supervision of learners
