Post Summary
The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) is seeking a Research Assistant who wishes to contribute to a well-established study with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, policy relevant research on ageing. The key responsibility of the role will be to assist the project team with the data collection of TILDA participants during Wave 8 data collection. As part of Wave 8 data collection, TILDA research participants are invited to complete a comprehensive health assessment in our dedicated health centre in Trinity College Dublin or in the research participant’s own home. This role will involve assisting the TILDA project manager and TILDA team with the day-to-day operations of the health assessment data collection, supporting the research nurses in the centre and those out in the field and responsible for all correspondence, incoming and outgoing, relevant to the study and contribute overall to TILDA research output. The post will be ideally suited to someone with strong operational research skills with an academic background, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, a self-starter with the ability to solve problems efficiently and independently and will be expected to acquire a basic understanding of TILDA’s research areas. This person will join a vibrant inter-disciplinary team including researchers, clinicians and administrative members all working toward the promotion of successful ageing. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on the largest study on ageing ever carried out in Ireland.
