Breaffy House Resort is looking to recruit a Health Club Manager to join our team.
The Health Club Manager will ensure the smooth running of every aspect of the day-to-day management of the Club dedicated to sports, leisure, health and fitness. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Health Club team, maintaining high operational standards and delivering an exceptional experience for both members and hotel guests.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:
- Managing, training and supervising staff.
- Organising fitness activities and programmes.
- Managing staff rotas and supporting recruitment and development.
- Assisting with the financial management of the Health Club.
- Promoting and marketing the business to drive membership growth.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Overseeing the operation of the swimming pool and gym facilities.
- Monitoring equipment maintenance and liaising with external contractors when required.
- Dealing with enquiries, complaints and emergencies.
- Working with the Resort & Spa Management Team to ensure the continued success and development of the Health Club.
Qualifications and Training Required
The right candidate must have relevant qualifications in Leisure, Fitness or Sports Management.
The successful candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within a leisure centre, health club or gym.
- Experience managing both pool and gym operations is essential.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive member experience.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Pool Plant Operator Certificate and Fitness Instructor qualifications would be an advantage.
