There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available in IHA Dublin South
Wicklow Primary Location Hawthorns Stillorgan. Secondary Location Bray Co. Wicklow
(No travel time or payment applies to going from home to either base location)
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Speech and Language Therapist,
Clinical Specialist- Disability Services, IHA Dublin south & Wicklow from which current and
future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be
filled.
HSE Dublin and South East: Tipperary South, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow, part of South Dublin
Candidates must demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in providing Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention for adults with complex intellectual disability and/or physical disability, including individuals with complex communication and swallowing needs. Applicants must demonstrate experience in trauma-informed and person-centred clinical practice, recognising the impact of communication differences, sensory processing needs and life experiences on engagement with services. Candidates should demonstrate experience in the assessment and management of complex communication and swallowing needs, including: • complex communication disorders associated with intellectual disability • augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) • dysphagia assessment and management • supporting communication in individuals with sensory, behavioural or cognitive needs • development of communication supports and strategies across environments. Applicants must demonstrate experience working within a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with complex and high support needs, contributing to integrated assessment, care planning and coordinated interventions. Candidates should demonstrate experience delivering Speech and Language Therapy services in community-based settings, including collaboration with families, carers, residential services and community providers. Applicants should demonstrate experience contributing to clinical governance, service development, quality improvement initiatives and practice education within Speech and Language Therapy services.
