An "Accommodation Self-Checker" is a senior housekeeping role within our hotel. If successful, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and conducting your own final quality inspections. Because your work will be required to meet the hotel's exacting standards, your rooms should be considered guest-ready without requiring secondary supervision.
This role typically involves:
Servicing guest bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and common areas.
Inspecting your own completed work for perfection, including checking the quality of linens.
Reporting room defects and maintenance issues to management / maintenance department.
Experience Required.
A minimum of 6 months experience within a 4 star hotel setting as an Accommodation Assistant / Housekeeper
or
Experience is a smaller hotel / guest house in a Supervisory capacity
Experience of cleaning rooms to a high standard ensuring your work is not required to be checked.
May suit a person who has experience within a hotel setting who is ready to take a step up the progression ladder.
The hours of work for this role are generally: 0930 to 1530. This role will cover both midweek and weekend days up to 5 days per week. Unfortunately this role will not suit a student at this time as it will require midweek and weekend shifts during term times.

Main Responsibilities:

To ensure that all service provided by you is in accordance with your department procedures

To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in bedrooms and bathrooms and areas of work throughout the hotel, including corridors, fire exits /stores.

To report all maintenance faults to the Accommodation Management Team

To have a full knowledge of all Accommodation services and a general knowledge of all hotel facilities and opening hours

To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in your area of work.

To have a full knowledge of all products in the department and a general knowledge of all hotel facilities and opening hours.
