The Creative is an Early Learning & Care service located in Dundrum, Dublin. We offer a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 3–6 years, where imagination, exploration and creativity are encouraged every day.
Our programme is guided by a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) philosophy, inspiring children to experiment, investigate, build and develop independent thinking through play-based learning and guided discovery. We believe Montessori and STEAM are a natural fit, both place the child at the centre, value independence and curiosity, and trust children to lead their own learning.
Inspired by the frameworks of Aistear and Síolta, we recognise that children learn best when they feel secure, respected and actively involved in their experiences. About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have a deep passion for Montessori philosophy and its application in an early years setting
- Be warm, patient, observant and genuinely enthusiastic about early childhood as a distinct phase of development
- Build strong, secure and consistent relationships with children and families
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a strong commitment to safeguarding practices
- Be excited by the connection between Montessori principles and STEAM-based learning
- Bring creativity, initiative and their own interests into daily activities and programme planning
- Communicate openly and positively with children, families and colleagues
Qualifications & Experience
- Montessori qualification (AMI, AMS or Irish equivalent) — required
- QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent — required
- Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta — required
- Garda Vetting and two references required prior to employment
- Paediatric First Aid certification desirable
- LINC qualification — a significant advantage
- 2 years' experience in an early years or Montessori setting preferred
What We Offer
- €17.00 – €18.50 per hour
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, 50 weeks per year
- Rotating shifts Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:00
