Moneygall Construction Shopfitting Ltd. Are looking to recruit a skilled carpenter, tradesman or construction worker on a full-time basis. We are also seeking a self-employed carpenter or construction worker to be taken on as a subcontractor.
Our business is based in Moneygall, Co. Offaly and we work on a national basis dealing in retail, restaurants and hotels as well as domestic construction.
Start date would preferrably be as soon as possible but start date is negotiable.
We expect our workers to:
- Have adequate understanding and be comfortably able to read drawings
- Show good communication and being key to working as a team with ourselves and the management on site in order to achieve project success in time frames issued.
- Show attention to detail throughout the process of the project being completed.
- Completing non-trade specific jobs as required.
- Participating in Safety and Environmental training programmes and initiatives.
- Adhere to safe working practices as set out by the safety statement and other company safety rules.
Requirements (desired and preferred):
- Suitable site experience
- A strong carpentry background
- Experience in studwork
- Good reporting skills essential
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Responds positively to changing circumstances and priorities
- Must have Full clean driver’s license and experience in driving long wheel base vans
- Carpentry experience (if applicable, must have 2 years min.)
- Framing experience (if applicable, must have 1 year min.)
- Safe Pass & Manual Handling certificate is essential
The job includes:
- 8-hour shifts (hours may vary depending on the nature of the job & Location). Normal hours are usually 9-5.
- Monday to Friday (with exceptions of some jobs)
- Holidays
- Working throughout the country encountering different jobs and meeting new people.
