Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee and/or undertake structural engineering design and checks for the project from concept design to detailed engineering, planning support, construction and handover.
- Review and approve structural drawings, specifications and construction documents in alignment with project requirements and local codes.
- Review and implement value engineering in design for structural elements where applicable including 3D model coordination reviews.
- Collaborate with civil, architectural and MEP disciplines to integrate civil solutions that support complex underground infrastructures.
- Manage client meeting and coordinate engineering elements with clients designers (AE).
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, sustainability goals, and industry best practices for mission-critical facilities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of structural design standards and innovation in data center construction methodologies.
- Conduct structural inspections of underground infrastructure and services such as precast concrete chambers and conduit routes.
- Collaboration for all CSA elements.
- Interfaces with MEP scopes.
- Schedule and planning alignment.
- Commercial awareness.
Show your expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural engineering
- 10+ years of experience in Construction
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities.
- Proven experience in data centers
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership and team coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Effective stakeholder communication and client engagement
- Navisworks – 3D model
- AutoCAD
