The Role
We are seeking an experienced Skilled Ground Worker to join our team in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of groundworks and excavation on commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out drainage, kerbing, paving, concreting, and foundation works.
- Operate excavators and other plant machinery safely and efficiently.
- Excavate trenches, prepare site levels, and backfill as required.
- Install underground services, ducting, and drainage systems.
- Read site drawings and work to project specifications.
- Perform general groundworks, including pipe laying, concrete finishing, and reinstatement.
- Carry out daily plant checks and report any defects.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Ground Worker or Excavator Operator.
- Valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Excavator/CSCS ticket and Manual Handling certificate preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence is an advantage.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
