Pastry Chef
Errigal Country House Hotel – Cootehill, Co. Cavan
We are looking for an experienced, creative and highly motivated Pastry Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team at Errigal Country House Hotel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef who is passionate about creating exceptional desserts while also having the versatility to work across the hot kitchen when required. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a dynamic team and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a busy hotel or restaurant.
- Be confident producing high-quality desserts, pastries, breads and baked goods.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a passion for presentation.
- Be organised, reliable and able to work well under pressure.
- Have a strong understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Experience and confidence working on hot food sections would be a significant advantage, as we are looking for a chef who can support both pastry and main kitchen operations when required.
- Have a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to contribute to menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce all desserts, pastries and baked items to the highest standard.
- Assist with the development of seasonal dessert menus and daily specials.
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all pastry offerings.
- Ensure your section is fully prepared and organised for service.
- Support the hot kitchen during busy periods when required.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to maintain exceptional standards throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.
