Role Description
NIS is seeking an experienced and detail orientated accounts assistant to join our team on a fixed term maternity cover contract for 9 months. There may be an opportunity for the contract to be extended beyond the initial 9-month period, depending on business needs. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and process purchase orders (POs) in line with company procedures
· Prepare, review, and post sales and purchase invoices
· Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and credit control
· Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly
· Posting credit cards
· Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50
· Support month-end and year-end closing processes
· Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and external accountants/auditors
· Handle general office administration and finance-related tasks
· Carry out any other ad hoc finance or administrative duties as required
· HR duties on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements (Essential)
· High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
· Hands-on experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting systems
· Working knowledge of VAT
· Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
Desirable
· Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or Accounting Technician) or experienced accounts assistant
· Experience in I.T sector
Pay: €27,000.00-€44,078.42 per year
