Yard Man/HGV Driver required to fully maintain the grounds and equipment at an equine transport yard. We are looking for someone with a positive can do attitude to assist us with the day to day running of the business.
Responsibilities to include:
- Driving & Operating large horseboxes (ranging from 3.5-ton to heavy HGVs)
- Washing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles from cars to large horseboxes and trailers.
- Preparing vehicles for both national and international trips.
- Yard Maintenance: Preparing & mucking out stables, managing forage/feed schedules, and ensuring the yard is bio-secure to prevent the spread of equine diseases.
- Ground Maitenance: Cutting grass, Strimming, trimming hedges and assisit with any other ad hoc tasks.
- Horse Handling & Loading: Safely loading and unloading horses, can include young, flighty, or difficult stallions and mares.
Essential Requirements
- A valid HGV license (Category C or C+E)
- Car Driver essential due to location
Pay: From €30,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Box lorry: 1 year (preferred)
- Horse Handling: 1 year (preferred)
