The role will act as a trusted advisor to airport operators, aviation authorities, airport developers, and infrastructure organisations, supporting the planning, development, optimisation, and transformation of airport operations and infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead advisory workstreams and projects across a broad range of airport consulting disciplines, including airport strategy, capacity and demand planning, concepts of operations (CONOPs), airport operating models, terminal planning, operational performance improvement, and data-driven decision making.
Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary project teams, the role will contribute to the development of strategic recommendations, operational concepts, business cases, analytical assessments, and transformation initiatives that support airports in achieving their operational, commercial, and passenger experience objectives.
The position requires a highly analytical and client-focused professional with strong consulting skills and a passion for solving complex airport challenges. The role will involve regular international travel and engagement with senior client stakeholders across a range of global aviation markets.
Airport Advisory & Consulting
Lead the delivery of airport advisory assignments for international airport and aviation clients, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, quality, programme, and budget requirements.
Support clients in the planning, optimisation, and transformation of airport operations, infrastructure, and service delivery models.
Develop strategic recommendations and practical solutions that improve airport performance, efficiency, passenger experience, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
Conduct airport operational assessments, benchmarking studies, gap analyses, and performance reviews.
Support the development of airport strategies, business cases, and transformation programmes.
Capacity & Demand Planning
Conduct passenger, baggage, aircraft movement, and operational demand analysis to support airport planning and decision-making.
Develop demand forecasts, capacity assessments, and scenario modelling to support future airport growth and infrastructure planning.
Identify capacity constraints, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve airport efficiency and utilisation. Support clients in developing long-term airport development plans and operational strategies.
Develop recommendations to improve passenger flow, terminal efficiency, service quality, and customer experience.
Airport Operating Models & CONOPs
Develop and review Airport Operating Models, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), and operational frameworks to support airport development and operational improvement initiatives.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define future operational requirements and service delivery expectations.
Assess airport operational processes and interfaces to ensure alignment between infrastructure, technology, people, and operational requirements.
Support clients in defining future-state operating concepts for new airports, terminal developments, and operational transformation programmes.
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
Analyse operational, commercial, and passenger data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
Develop analytical models, dashboards, performance frameworks, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.
Support the development of airport KPIs and performance management frameworks.
Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear recommendations for client stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather information and build consensus around recommendations.
Present findings, recommendations, and strategic improvement initiatives to client management teams and executive stakeholders.
Support clients in translating strategic recommendations into practical implementation plans.
Project & Workstream Leadership
Lead defined project workstreams, coordinating inputs from internal subject matter experts and project team members.
Manage project deliverables, schedules, risks, and reporting requirements to ensure successful project outcomes
Support quality assurance processes to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and professionalism across all client deliverables.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of advisory methodologies, tools, templates, and intellectual property.
Business Development & Continuous Improvement
Support the preparation of technical proposals, bids, and client presentations for new advisory opportunities
Contribute subject matter expertise to business development initiatives and client engagement activities.
Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices in airport asset management, infrastructure planning, and engineering management.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Experience
Significant experience in airport consulting, airport operations, airport planning, aviation advisory, or related airport development environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering consulting or advisory assignments for airports, aviation organisations, airport developers, or infrastructure clients.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: airport planning, capacity and demand planning, terminal planning, airport operations, operational performance improvement, CONOPs development, airport operating models, business intelligence, or airport strategy.
Experience undertaking quantitative analysis, forecasting, modelling, or performance assessment activities.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing client relationships within consulting or project-based environments.
Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple concurrent assignments.
International project delivery experience would be advantageous.
