About the Role
Our client is a well-established mechanical services contractor with extensive experience delivering projects across Ireland and internationally. They provide full design-and-build solutions, from initial concept through to commissioning, with a strong focus on quality, innovation and client satisfaction.
As part of their continued growth, our client is seeking a motivated Senior Project Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex projects alongside experienced professionals within a supportive and high-performing environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will contribute to project delivery, technical coordination and client liaison. You will take ownership of key project packages while continuing to develop your technical, project management and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend project handover and design meetings, supporting the development of pre-construction documentation and project planning.
- Participate in design reviews, identify value engineering opportunities and support design optimisation.
- Monitor project programmes and timelines in collaboration with project managers and wider team members.
- Coordinate plant and equipment submittals with procurement and technical teams.
- Support the preparation and review of mechanical coordination drawings, ensuring effective integration with other disciplines on site.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, including RFIs, technical submissions, quality assurance records and testing reports.
- Track project variations and report changes to the senior project team.
- Prepare Operation and Maintenance documentation for project handover.
- Contribute to commissioning plans and coordinate specialist subcontractor input, certification and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ experience within a mechanical contracting or consulting environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design, coordination and project delivery.
- Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, including procurement, coordination, commissioning and client engagement.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems, energy systems and sustainable building technologies would be highly desirable.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a project team.

Pay: €75,000.00-€95,000.00 per year
