The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Kitchen Manager to take ownership of our production kitchen. This is a hands on leadership role that sits at the heart of our business. Initially you can expect a split of roughly 50% admin and management and 50% production support, with the role becoming more management focused as it develops.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing and sourcing all kitchen inventory, ingredients and packaging
- Building supplier relationships and keeping costs in check
- Leading, scheduling and motivating the kitchen team day to day
- Onboarding and training new team members
- Ensuring every product that leaves the kitchen meets our high quality standards
- Overseeing logistics including coordinating our own driver and managing our courier partners
- Planning daily production to meet demand across retail, wholesale and online orders
- Upholding food safety and HACCP compliance at all times
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a kitchen management or supervisory role, this is essential
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a fast paced environment
- Experience handling staff scheduling, rotas and managing performance conversations
- A natural leader who leads by example and brings the best out of those around them
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- A keen eye for quality and a genuine passion for food production and presentation
- Experience managing stock levels, placing orders and working with suppliers
- Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with team members, suppliers and senior management
- Ability to stay calm, problem solve, and make decisions under pressure during busy periods
- A good understanding of food safety standards and HACCP compliance
- Experience in a high volume or production kitchen environment is a strong advantage
- Someone who takes pride in their work and holds themselves and their team to a high standard
Pay: Remuneration will be based on experience
