We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Rehabilitation Physiotherapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
This is not a traditional treatment-room physiotherapy position.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in our rehabilitation gym, delivering and progressing structured exercise programmes for clients with a wide range of conditions. You will work closely with physiotherapists, clinical exercise specialists, and strength & conditioning professionals to deliver exceptional rehabilitation outcomes.
Our clients include individuals recovering from surgery, people with persistent musculoskeletal pain, and those managing chronic health conditions who require exercise as medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes for:
- Post-operative orthopaedic patients
- Persistent and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Sports and orthopaedic injuries
- Individuals living with chronic diseases
- Supervise one-to-one and small group rehabilitation sessions.
- Progress rehabilitation programmes based on objective assessment and clinical outcomes.
- Educate and empower clients to become confident and independent in managing their condition.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Medfit's rehabilitation services.
Essential Requirements
- CORU registered Physiotherapist (or eligible for registration).
- Excellent understanding of exercise prescription and rehabilitation principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping people achieve long-term health through movement.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Desirable Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Strength and conditioning
- Persistent pain management
- Sports rehabilitation
- Exercise prescription for chronic disease
- Clinical Pilates or return-to-performance rehabilitation
- Experience working within a gym or performance setting
