We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Technician with strong plumbing experience to join our team at our client site in Cork City.
Working Pattern Monday - Friday 39 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities

Planned preventative and reactive maintenance of plumbing and mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, compressed air, gas systems, sprinkler systems, pipework and drainage.

Fault finding, isolation and repair of plant/utilities to minimise downtime and support production continuity.

Proactively identify, investigate and address potential maintenance issues to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime.

Support installation, commissioning and handover of new plant/equipment and minor upgrades to pipework networks.

Complete general building fabric tasks where required, maintaining a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping.

Use the client CMMS (PEMAC) to plan, record and close work orders within agreed timeframes, maintaining accurate records for audit readiness.

Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with statutory requirements, site procedures, permits-to-work and safe systems of work.

Escalate hazards, incidents and nonconformances promptly and contribute to site targets on Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.

Provide information and updates to support reporting, trend analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Liaise with the Engineering/Facilities Manager and helpdesk to ensure timely responses to queries and transparent communication on progress.

Coordinate and support subcontractors as required, ensuring RAMS/permits and site rules are followed.

Assist with quotations, purchasing requests and spareparts management; maintain minimum stock levels aligned to client requirements.

Maintain workshops, stores and plant rooms in a tidy, safe and inspectionready condition

Participate in an outofhours oncall rota to support critical site operations (rota frequency and allowances confirmed during recruitment).

Overtime may be required from time to time to complete urgent or planned outofhours works.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Recognised trade qualification in Plumbing (essential).

Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities/maintenance/operations within an industrial, manufacturing or regulated environment.

Experience in working with and redlining layout drawings, P&I drawings as well as mechanical drawings.

Proven experience delivering PPM programmes and completing highquality reactive maintenance with strong faultfinding capability.

Working knowledge of CMMS systems (PEMAC desirable) and confident record keeping.

Wellorganised and selfdirected, with the ability to manage priorities and work independently when required.
- Clear and effective communicator with a strong focus on service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Strong PC literacy (email, Office365 programs e.g. Excel, CMMS, basic reporting).
