Job Title: Household / Cleaning Team Member
Location: Cobh Hospital, Co. Cork
Hours: 32 hours per week
Job Description:
Cobh Hospital is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Household / Cleaning Team Member to join our dedicated support services team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining wards, clinical areas, offices, corridors, and communal spaces to required healthcare standards
- Following infection prevention and control procedures at all times
- Safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with training and guidelines
- Waste segregation and disposal in accordance with hospital policy
- Working as part of a team while also being able to work independently
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable, particularly in a healthcare or similar environment (training will be provided)
- A good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work to schedules and follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and with a strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
