Ruairi’s Kitchen – Cork City

Ruairi’s Kitchen is looking for a friendly, energetic and experienced Café Assistant / Barista to join our team.
We’re an independent bakery and café in Cork City and are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, is comfortable in a busy café environment and is happy to get involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the café.
The Role
This is a varied front-of-house position and will include:
● Taking customer orders and providing friendly, efficient service
● Preparing and serving coffees and other drinks
● Preparing and serving sandwiches and lunch items
● Operating the till and handling payments
● Setting up and maintaining the café throughout the day
● Restocking the counter, fridges and service areas
● Keeping front-of-house and work areas clean and organised
● Following food safety and hygiene procedures
● Helping with opening and closing duties
● Working closely with the rest of the Ruairi’s Kitchen team

Previous café, barista or hospitality experience is preferred, and barista experience would be a definite advantage.
Hours
Approximately 20 hours per week, with daytime shifts.
This role will include working through until approximately 4:30pm on scheduled days.
Pay: €14.15-€15.00 per hour
