We are currently recruiting a Full-Time Ward Clerk for Clondalkin Lodge, New Road, Clondalkin Village, Dublin 22 D22 R9Y7
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day organisational/management responsibilities of the Team throughout the maintenance of Record Systems for the bed management service.
- Input data onto computerised systems as necessary and produce statistics as required by the Team and Acute Care management team.
- Attend to post and file correspondence.
- Request/retrieve medical records relating to service user appointments or queries.
- Liaise with all staff concerned with bed management services, including communication with General Practitioners, service users and carers and other services that have a legitimate interest in the work of the Local
- Responsible for accurately recording admission activity during patient admission, including bed management, transfer activity, discharge details.
- Ensure patients complete relevant Health Insurance Forms, where applicable, and any other forms that maybe required. Ensure that vital information is correct for invoicing purposes.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedure is available in times of leave for resident/ patient transition arrangements.
- Undertake data validation checks following times of leave to ensure accuracy of patient details on V Care.
- To liaise with the Patient Services Dept. (Bed Management /Admissions Team) on a regular basis.
- To liaise with the Medical Records Office for regular chart collection
- To ensure accurate Chart Tracking of all patient files on a daily basis.
- To arrange appointments for Outpatient Department Clinics .

Requirements:
Desirable Qualifications:
- QQI Level 5 qualification as a medical receptionist or
- Diploma in Administration or relevant discipline or
- Diploma in communications or business.
Essential Criteria:
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office and typing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and resourceful.

- Excellent written /numerical/analytical skills
