Project Manager – Home Renovations
Expert Home Renovation Centre is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential renovation and refurbishment projects from initial survey through to completion.
The role will involve managing full home refurbishments, kitchens, bathrooms, building works, roofing, windows and doors, external insulation, SEAI grant works and Vacant Property Grant projects. Typical project values range from €100,000 to €500,000.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct site surveys for the sales team and assess project requirements, feasibility, timelines and potential risks.
· Prepare clear project scopes, schedules and delivery plans based on client requirements and agreed works.
· Manage all phases of renovation projects, from planning and procurement through to site delivery, completion and handover.
· Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects and other professionals as required.
· Oversee works including full home refurbishments, kitchens, bathrooms, building works, roofing, windows, doors and external insulation.
· Manage project budgets, costs, variations, change orders and procurement to ensure projects remain commercially controlled.
· Monitor progress on site, resolve issues quickly and ensure works are completed to specification and quality standards.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, building regulations, SEAI requirements and Vacant Property Grant documentation where applicable.
· Maintain regular communication with clients, the sales team, subcontractors and management, providing updates throughout each project.
· Lead and coordinate site teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
The Ideal Candidate
· Has experience managing residential renovation, construction or refurbishment projects.
· Understands domestic building works, including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, insulation, windows, doors and general construction.
· Can read drawings, assess site conditions and identify practical project requirements.
· Is commercially aware and confident managing budgets, costs and variations.
· Has strong communication skills and can deal professionally with clients, trades and suppliers.
· Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at once.
· Has knowledge of SEAI grants, energy upgrades or Vacant Property Grants, is essential.
· Holds a full clean driving licence.
