West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by John O'Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of over 250 people based in our distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork and our Waterford site Donohoe Drinks. We are built on an entrepreneurial energy and a passion for the science and art of spirit and whiskey production.

We are Looking For..
At West Cork Distillers, we're looking for a proactive and organised Casking & Warehousing Coordinator to support the efficient operation of our whiskey warehousing and casking activities across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse operations, inventory control, systems coordination, and team support. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and accurate movement, storage, and traceability of our casks and spirit while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Working closely with Production, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Warehouse teams, you'll help coordinate day-to-day casking operations, maintain accurate warehouse mapping and stock records, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide operational leadership when required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to contribute to the production of internationally recognised Irish whiskey.
What You'll Do..

Assist with day-to-day casking and warehousing activities across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company standards.

Support the management and maintenance of warehouse mapping systems, ensuring accurate stock location control, traceability, and inventory integrity.

Assist with the implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of casking and warehousing systems

Prepare, maintain, and verify all relevant casking, warehousing, inventory, and compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and audit readiness

Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required to support operational activities

Coordinate the casking of new make spirit into casks, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards.

Operate pumps and other production and warehousing equipment as required

Support the loading, unloading, and movement of casks and materials across warehouse locations

Maintain casking and warehousing areas in an audit-ready condition at all times, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

Provide Team Leader cover during periods of absence, supporting workforce coordination, task allocation, and operational decision-making

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety, and operational performance

Collaborate with Production, Quality, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure accurate stock control and operational alignment

Demonstrate flexibility in undertaking additional duties and projects in line with business requirements

Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by management.
What You'll Have..

Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Full clean driving license as you may be required to travel to other sites from time to time

Fluent English with the ability to understand and comply with Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics, inventory control, or production environment.

Experience operating forklifts and warehouse handling equipment (valid forklift certification desirable).

Experience working with production machinery and warehousing systems.

Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Experience using ERP, CRM, WMS, or inventory management systems would be advantageous.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while also supporting and coordinating team activities.

Previous experience in a coordinator, or team leadership capacity would be desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
