The Falls Hotel & Spa are currently recruiting for a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer to join our team.
The Role:
The Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer must provide an efficient gym service at all times, ensuring that every customer is aided in his or her leisure needs, with the objective of achieving maximum customer satisfaction. The candidate will need to be flexible in availability to cover midweek and weekends.
Primary responsibilities will be:
- Introduce new members to the gym and gym equipment and help our members
- achieve the best results possible;
- Conduct Fitness assessments and develop training programmes for members;
- Teach group exercise classes including spinning and aqua aerobics;
- Provide help and guidance to members;
- Conduct pool water tests and carry out plant room duties as requested & ensuring equipment, changing rooms and the gym floor areas are clean at all times
Qualifications
- NCEF/ITEC fitness qualification, or working towards same; is essential.
- Pool / life guard certification and First Aid would be an advantage.
Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience in a leisure centre with First Aid and pool plant operator’s qualification, fitness classes beneficial.
Duties will include:
- Carry out Leisure Club duties including, fitness testing,programme design and lifeguarding
- Supervise swimming pool area
- Present professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Maintain a high standard of customer service
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facility and equipment
- Attend all staff training and liaise with managers on ways to improve the services offered
- Be flexible regarding time table and company demands (weekend availability is required).
- Follow company operation procedures
- Ensure the health and safety of customers at all times.
- All other duties as assigned and appropriate
