An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement specialist with warehouse experience within the Galway Clinic. Reporting to the Procurement Manager the candidate will contribute to the effective and efficient running of a busy warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure and review all material, consumable and service requirements for hospital by working closely with the hospital departments to understand their procurement requirements.

Place orders with Suppliers, in line with MRP, Re-Order point
- Provide daily / weekly / monthly reporting, key metrics and analysis highlighting gaps, areas of concern and solutions.

Manage suppliers and secure the best cost, delivery and service quality.

Monitor progress of purchase orders and expedite open orders to meet customer requirements.

Minimise excess stock and obsolete materials exposure.

Updates MRP and schedule parameters as appropriate.

Manage Cycle count and annual stock take process.

Review and resolves invoice discrepancies.

Receive, check & put away incoming material in warehouse. (If required)

Process internal requisitions from departments and deliver material to storage locations. (If required)

Identify opportunities to implement best inventory management practices such as Kanban and consignment programs.

Participate in projects and teams as required by the business.

Ad hoc analysis and tasks that may be deemed necessary
Qualifications & Experience:

3 - 5 years' experience in a Materials / Procurement environment.

Diploma / Cert in purchasing materials management.

APICS or working towards certification.

Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory & supplier management.

Ability to deal with multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of MS office packages Excel, Word & Outlook.

Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems SAP, Oracle preferred.

Hospital / medical device manufacturing experience an advantage.
