The Inbound Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the Goods Inwards, Stock Replenishment, and Forklift teams to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of stock through the warehouse. The role is accountable for inbound delivery management, replenishment operations, inventory integrity, team performance, and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the Goods Inwards, Replenishment, and Forklift teams.
- Allocate daily workloads and communicate operational priorities.
- Manage team attendance, rostering, and wage sign-off.
- Coach and develop team members to achieve operational and safety standards.
Inbound Operations Management
- Oversee the receipt, checking, and processing of all inbound deliveries.
- Ensure stock is accurately recorded within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inbound volumes and warehouse capacity to maintain efficient stock flow.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders as required.
Replenishment Operations
- Manage WMS replenishment queues and ensure priority tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain stock availability and optimise warehouse space utilisation.
- Ensure stock movements and bin locations are managed accurately.
- Monitor replenishment performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Inventory Accuracy & Continuous Improvement
- Support inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Support stock counts, audits, and inventory control activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Reporting, Compliance & Safety
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs and team performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, warehouse standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
- Support operational audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong knowledge of Goods Inwards, Replenishment, and Warehouse Operations.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Forklift certification and operational experience.
- Experience within high-volume warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of inventory control and stock management processes.
- Formal leadership or supervisory training.
