Manley Timber Frame is hiring a Yard Manager for their operations in Duleek. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a similar role, preferably in Timber Frame or modular build production. The Yard Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's yard.
Role description:
· Oversee the operations and logistics of our timber frame company's yard in Duleek.
· Carry out necessary manual tasks to ensure efficient operation of the yard.
· Coordinate deliveries of timber frames to construction sites, ensuring on-time delivery.
· Work with other departments (production) to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of projects.
· Manage loading and unloading.
· Oversee the maintenance and repair of yard equipment and schedule routine inspections and servicing to ensure optimal performance.
· Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
· Conduct regular stock takes.
· Management of H&S in the yard.
· Conduct regular Tool Box talks with yard staff.
· Supervise yard staff.
· Ensure the yard is organised efficiently.
· Conduct regular inspections on the units on the truck to ensure that they meet all specifications and there are no deviations.
Suitable candidates should have:
· Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or timber industry
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
· The ability to lead and work as part of a team
· The ability to meet deadlines
· Excellent numeracy and computer skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Excellent organisation skills
· Have the knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards
Salary: Negotiable.
