Assistant Bar Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their management career.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy bar operation, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of a high-volume bar operation.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
- Supervise, motivate, and support the bar team.
- Prepare weekly staff rosters and manage scheduling.
- Order and monitor stock levels to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage and oversee customer bookings and event enquiries.
- Carry out end-of-night cash reconciliation and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure the premises are secured by completing lock-up procedures.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the delivery of outstanding customer service and drive sales.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Assistant Bar Manager or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of beers, wines, spirits, and premium beverages.
- Advanced cocktail knowledge and experience preparing classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Proven cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
