Job description
We are currently recruiting a full-time Spa & Thermal Manager. The successful candidate will be a proud ambassador for Bellinter House Hotel & Bathhouse Spa and Thermal Suite. As the Spa & Thermal Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the spa and thermal area, ensuring the highest level of service and guest satisfaction. You will lead and inspire a team of therapists, thermal team and spa reception staff, manage financial performance and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation.
Key responsibilities for the role will include:
· Manage day-to-day spa operations, including staffing, scheduling and service delivery
· Lead, motivate and develop the spa and thermal team to achieve excellence in guest service
· Ensure all treatments and services meet hotel and brand standards
· Oversee retail sales, inventory control and product ordering
· Manage spa and thermal budgets, forecasts and financial performance
· Drive revenue growth through effective spa and thermal promotions and marketing initiatives
· Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations
· Handle guest feedback professionally and implement continuous improvement measures
· Work with hotel management and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
· Maximising sales potential in both thermal, treatment and spa products
· Oversee the development of the indoor and outdoor thermal suite facilities.
· Ensure all thermal facilities are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with health and hygiene regulations.
· Conduct regular inspections of thermal areas, equipment and water quality and record all these inspections.
· Manage the thermal spa booking system ensuring it runs smoothly and that guests leave at the appropriate times.
· Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams for repairs and cleanliness standards.
· Assist with scheduling and training of spa and thermal staff.
· Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure availability of towels, robes, slippers and amenities
Qualifications & Skills
· Previous experience as a Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager, ideally in a hotel environment
· Recognised qualifications in spa, beauty, wellness or related field
· Relevant qualifications in Pool Plant Operators course, health & wellness and leisure management (desirable)
· Strong leadership, coaching and team-building abilities
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Strong organisational and financial management capabilities
· Passion for wellness, hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, luxury environment
· Knowledge of thermal spa operations, water treatment and health & safety standards.
